The response to the Kraft Food for Families initiative was truly inspiring.

We reached the original goal of $50,000 with the help of people from all across Canada, who came together and added thousands of names in support of their local food banks.

The Salvation Army Food Bank in Owen Sound Ontario received the $10,000 bonus donation for having the most names of support.

In the spirit of the season, Kraft Food for Families made
10 additional donations of $1,000 to local food banks.

Limit of one name submission per person per day. Must be 13 or older. Program weeks are listed below. Each week begins on a Friday at 9:00:00 a.m. ET and ends the following Friday at 8:59:59 a.m. ET.

  • Week 1: Dec. 2 – Dec. 9
  • Week 2: Dec. 9 – Dec. 16
  • Week 3: Dec. 16 – Dec. 23
  • Week 4: Dec. 23 – Dec. 30
  • Week 5: Dec. 30 – Jan. 6
  • Week 6: Jan. 6 – Jan. 13
  • Week 7: Jan. 13 – Jan. 20
  • Week 8: Jan. 20 – Jan. 27
  • Week 9: Jan. 27 – Feb. 3
  • Week 10: Feb. 3 – Feb. 10

The Food Bank with the most names submitted during a specified week will receive a $1000 donation. In case of a tie, a random draw will be held. Limit of one (1) $1000 donation per Food Bank. Once a Food Bank has received a donation in this program, that Food Bank is no longer eligible for subsequent weeks.
